Aeroccino — Experimental Product Visuals
A series of experimental CGI marketing visuals for the Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother, exploring premium lighting, atmosphere and product-focused composition for high-end campaign imagery.

About the project
This project was developed as a visual exploration of the Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother, focusing on creating a more cinematic and elevated presentation style than traditional e-commerce imagery. The aim was to experiment with lighting, composition and mood while still keeping the product clearly identifiable and commercially believable.
Unlike a standard studio render set, this project leaned more heavily into premium campaign-style imagery designed to create a stronger emotional response around the product.
The visuals explored:
Darker, mood-driven lighting setups
High contrast reflections and highlights
Close-up compositions focused on material finish
Controlled use of atmosphere and shadow
Premium countertop and kitchen styling elements
The intention was to position the Aeroccino less as a functional kitchen appliance and more as a refined lifestyle object associated with ritual, quality and modern coffee culture.
Several compositions focused on isolating small product details — such as surface curvature, finish transitions and illuminated edge reflections — helping create a more tactile and premium visual language.
The final output balances realism with a more stylised campaign aesthetic suitable for social content, advertising and luxury-oriented marketing visuals.

Challanges
The biggest challenge in this project was pushing the visuals into a more cinematic direction while still maintaining clear product readability.
When working with darker scenes and reflective materials, products can quickly lose definition or become visually confusing.
Key focus areas included:
Maintaining silhouette clarity in low-light setups
Controlling reflections across metallic surfaces
Preventing highlights from overpowering the product form
Balancing stylisation with commercial usability
Careful lighting placement was used to guide attention across the product while preserving the clean and minimal visual language associated with premium coffee brands.
The result is a set of visuals that feel more emotionally driven than traditional appliance marketing while still remaining commercially grounded.

Summary
This project demonstrates how CGI can move beyond technical visualisation and into more emotionally-led campaign imagery.
By using controlled lighting and cinematic composition, the visuals reposition a simple everyday product into a more premium and aspirational category.
The final imagery is representative of the type of content used across:
Premium advertising campaigns
Social media marketing
Website hero sections
Product launch visuals
Lifestyle-focused brand communication
It also highlights the flexibility of CGI for rapidly testing creative marketing directions without the constraints of physical photography production.
